Professor Alafuro Epelle, a Nigerian, teaches in the Department of Political Science, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt. A graduate of both the University of Port Harcourt and the University of Benin, he was a lecturer in the then Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the latter University for several years. Since transferring his services to Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in 2008 he has served as Head, Department of Political Science; Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; and is currently Director, Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the institution. He has authored five reputable textbooks, edited three other texts in his area of specialisation, and published nearly one hundred scholarly articles on both local and international academic platforms. A member of many professional associations; External Assessor and/or External Examiner to several universities in the country, a Knight of Saint Christopher (KSC); he is happily married to Lady Joy and the marriage is blessed with wonderful children.
